Mischief-Arizona Olde English Bulldogges
We named our "kennel" this because of the nature of this breed. They are definitely full of Mischief and of course, we are in Arizona. We get emails and phone calls all the time from people wanting to know where Mischief is in Arizona. It always reminds us that no matter how hard the work, the fun in the breed is always there. These dogges are like no other and we've found ourselves saying, "anything else is just a dog". How true this is! And while there is a great deal of work involved in building a program and taking care of these dogges that live inside our home with us as family members, we have a goal to "build a better bulldogge". We strive to make every generation a step ahead of the previous which is one of the reason's we have such a strict contract on spaying and neutering and allowing only the best of each litter to go to homes for breeding purposes. And only those with the same ideals for breeding these dogges will get rights to do so. We don't breed these dogges for what we make in sales, but to better the breed and what we do make goes right back into our program for their care and other expenses. There is a huge amount of work that goes into any good program and raising a litter is a great deal of hard work and is much more than putting a male with a female and selling puppies after watching them grow up for 8 weeks. It's an enormous responsibility, but we do what we do for the love of the breed and the gratification we get when our produced pups get points or even place at a show is worth every inch of effort we put into this.
While each dogge has their own photo album, we thought we'd share a little history of each of our dogges:
CH Mischief's Roscoe P. Coletraine

Roscoe came to us in 2003 from What-A-Mug in Tucson but bred by SBK who has many great decendants out there including Rio Bravo's Phoebe (see www.riobravobulldogs.com/OEBfemales.htm). He is line bred and also reproduces himself consistently with most any female. He has great health and even greater attitude. He's the star of our show here achieving his Championship Title in three shows. He has 6 majors and only 2 are required for the title. He will be competing for a Grand Champion Title in January at the GCSBC Show in Arizona (if not at the 2008 Nationals in Texas). We had only attended a handful of shows due to a serious lack of venues for showing these beautiful dogs and was the inspiration for us to found the Grand Canyon State Bulldogge Club in mid-2004. This club has been sanctioned by the IOEBA and growing. We grew enough that we were able to host the 2006 National IOEBA Event here in Phoenix where he confirmed that his first show wins as a junior male were not simply a fluke, but truly a reflection of his conformation to the IOEBA Breed Standards. That day in Texas in 2005, while we didn't take "Best in Show", we did win the Blue Ribbon for his class as well as trophies for "Best Male" and then "Best of Breed" beating the very first IOEBA Champion Olde English Bulldogge. "Best in Show" that day went to Wired Kennels' Olde Boston Bulldogge - who was the first IOEBA Champion dog that wasn't an Olde English Bulldogge. We are very blessed to have discovered the Olde English Bulldogge Breed that day and even moreso to have acquired such an excellent example of what the breed should be. Bragging rights should also be noted for his picture being on the registry's "Points Standings" page on their website (see http://www.ioeba.net/IOEBAShowPoints.htm) since he was a junior male. He as also appeared several times on the front page too. You cannot imagine our pride. While Roscoe is not large in size at 65 pounds and 18 inches tall, he does meet the standards very nicely. He will keep our program well in line with the maximum weight for males being 85 pounds. While many breeders are trying to get their dogges bigger and bigger - some greater than 100+ pounds, we feel that the breed standards are there to be followed, not exceeded. Roscoe will be here with us until his end, hopefully for many, many years to come!
Mischief's Miss Mimi Moo

Mimi came from Idaho in 2004 and is the grand daughter of Sumo on her sire's side. Named for the markings and spots on her ears, she's a much smaller bulldogge than many others out there at 55 pounds and 17 inches at the shoulder, but even though she's the smallest dogge eating out of our kitchen, she does rule the roost as the Alpha since arriving at 8 weeks old. This girl does have a very short muzzle at barely 1 inch, but this has not affected her athletic abilities in any way. She can play laser tag just as well as any other dog out there. We are pleased with her free whelping and excellent mothering skills - with instincts even surprising our vet - nursing her pups in upwards of 12 weeks as well as any other pups that may be around! We are hoping that some time soon, Miss Mimi Moo will regain her figure and will be able to be shown at her best. Until then, she can simply be a mother to the puppies that we keep and friend, companion and entertainer to us. This is a forever home for Miss Mimi Moo.
Mischief's Good Golly Miss Molly
Molly came from Idaho as well later in 2005 and was Mimi's first "baby" until Mimi had her own a few months later. As a great-grand daughter to Sumo, we were happy to have Molly here being so closely related to Mimi for our new bloodlines. Being the clown dogge, Molly was always admired, but not really taken seriously until the 2006 IOEBA National Event here in Phoenix. This was Molly's first show and it proved to be quite the event for her. Her attitude has been different since that show where she won Blue Ribbon for her class, Best Female, Best of Breed and the honored, Best in Show competing against our Roscoe for Best of Breed and Best in Show. She doesn't walk anymore, but struts! Molly has a tad more beef than Mimi and has a great deal of drive - but just for fun things. Her weight maxes at 60 pounds with a shoulder measurement of 17 inches. Molly is a free breeder and whelper and an excellent mother. She doesn't nurse her pups until 3 months like Mimi, but she still nurtures them with great instinct and it shows how much she loves her offspring. We have high hopes for Molly and would like to finish her title next year. Now that she has a taste for competition, we hope that she will do as well at the next event - she really seemed to enjoy herself at her first - maybe as much as we did.
